 Hello friends,
Opera's newly unveiled Mini 7 is sure to put a smile on the faces of the basic handset users. This new browser is offering bunch of new features, which will make it easier for the users to navigate websites.

Opera Mini 7 adds a smart page feature, which integrates all the 'live' information such as social networking feeds. So you can stay up-to-date on Facebook and Twitter on your home page itself. Smart Page also serves as a central hub to tie in all your news feeds by using recommendations from news sites along with your own personal choices. Opera's signature Speed Dial has been expanded to support unlimited entries for quick access to your favourite websites.

Opera, which boasts 168 million users as of March 2012, has stuck to its roots and offers services to all users as long as they have Internet on their phones. Opera Mini 7 is offered as a free download for Java-based, BlackBerry and Symbian S60 feature phones, which means it will run on many basic phones, which are traditionally starved for quality apps.

The increased social outreach in the latest version of Opera is sure to add fuel to rumours of the Norwegian browser being acquired by Facebook, though there have been no comments by both companies on such an acquisition.

Like previous versions of Opera's mobile browsers, Opera Mini 7 has an ability to optimise usage and compress data, since it shifts a large part of user-end calculation, such as running javascript, to special servers. This lessens the need to visit sites directly and hence, less data is consumed, directly leading to cost-savings for the end uses.

Opera Mini 7 is now available for a free download from m.opera.com
